Announcing Group Partnership with Texas’s Top Grassroots Advocacy Organizations
The Texas City Limits Coalition (TCLC) is proud to announce its partnerships with the state’s top grassroots advocacy organizations: Texas Association of Builders, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Public Policy Foundation, Texas REALTORS® and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
The collective mission of the Texas City Limits Coalition is to engage in legislation that protects the rights of ALL property owners. TCLC’s array of partnership organizations is a testament to the fact that their mission is not singular. Residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural property owners in both rural and urban areas of Texas are affected by over-reaching city ordinances that extend beyond city limits, where regulated property owners are not eligible to vote in city elections.
Texas Farm Bureau State President, Russell Boening, had this to say: “Several cities across Texas are currently restricting or prohibiting farming and ranching when there is no evidence that it is a threat to public health and safety. Texas law must be strengthened to ensure that farmers and ranchers are able to continue producing the food and fiber that our rapidly growing population requires. Texas Farm Bureau is proud to be a member of the Texas City Limits Coalition in our shared effort to push back against unnecessary regulatory overreach from municipalities across the state.”
Additionally, Texas Public Policy Foundation Policy Director, James Quintero, stated: “Texans who live in an ETJ (extraterritorial jurisdiction) are governed by people they did not elect and subject to regulations they did not approve. This system is unfair and un-Texan and it’s time for the Texas Legislature to make things right.”
TCLC is honored to join its freedom-focused forces with that of these member-driven organizations. The Texas City Limits Coalition network will work in tandem to defend the rights of Texans subject to regulation without representation.
