We Fight For Your Rights

Texas City Limits Coalition wants to find solutions to Texans’ property rights challenges. We raise awareness and provide more robust platforms to advocate for landowners. We are passionate about helping people’s voices carry across the State of Texas to facilitate the change we need for a brighter tomorrow.

Below is current legislation which supports our mission.

HB 4175

HB 4175 by Rep. Cody Harris requires that if a city denies an owner of a property outside the city limits of their rights to conduct an activity or build a structure on their land, the city must deliver city services to that ETJ property within 30 months.

HB 4285

HB 4285 by Rep. Glenn Rogers continues to allow a city to establish regulations that apply to property outside the city limits. However, it prohibits the city’s enforcement of those regulations until the city annexes that property, giving those property owners rights to vote in city elections.

HB 4125

HB 4215 by Rep. Keith Bell prohibits a city from regulating an area OUTSIDE the city limits if the area is larger than half the size of the area INSIDE the city limits.

SB 1545

SB 1545 by Senator Paul Bettencourt prohibits a city from regulating an area OUTSIDE the city limits if the area is larger than half the size of the area INSIDE the city limits.
